Project was completed in 14 months from the time contract was signed to the date final Certificate of Occupancy was delivered. Considerable time and energy was spent crafting many of this homes details by hand. Very few elements were mass produced.
Property was featured on the Hoboken Historical Society House Tour. An annually held showcase of the best homes in Hoboken. Over 300 toured the property on the day of event.
The owner of this property wanted to create old world Victorian style craftsmanship with all the conveniences of a modern home. This home featured cutting edge home entertainment and home automation technology. All rooms were wired for central audio, all televisions could be synced to display the same images from a central media server, network wiring at all appliances for future internet capabilities, all lighting, fireplace, and media is controlled from a single remote control.
In addition to the cutting edge home electronics close attention was paid to each and every detail of this magnificent home. All door hardware was custom manufactured to achieve an authentic Victoria era aesthetic. Real copper ceiling, range hood, cabinet hardware and faucets were installed in the kitchen. All railings were custom designed from a sketch of the home owner and fabricated by a local Jersey City iron artist.
End result of this home was simply stunning.
